Identify Model
Macintosh Models can vary considerably, even within the same series of production. The parts that go with them likewise vary, so it is important to know exactly which model machine you have in order to correctly order parts or services. If you are not sure which Macintosh model you have the below information should prove helpful.

The easiest way to find out which Macintosh model you have is to use Apple's Online Service Assistant. This helpful serial number-based tool provides detailed information about your machine that is useful when looking for parts, accessories, upgrades and repair options. It also verifies AppleCare warranty coverage if any. If you do not know where your serial number is located this Apple Knowledge Base article may help.
