MACINTOSH COMPUTER HARDWARE REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Growing Macintosh retail and repair facility in downtown San Francisco has an immediate opening for a laptop computer hardware repair technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment conveniently located in the heart of Union Square.
Looking for a multi-talented individual who has troubleshooting ability, electrical, mechanical and other useful skills. Macintosh computer repair experience is required. Macintosh laptop computer repair experience a big plus. Flexible hours with a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week. Up to 38 hours per week for the right individual. Compensation is based on experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Inspection and testing of laptop computers and peripherals.
- Repair and replacement of defective computer components.
- Setup and customer prep of repaired computers.
- Answer phones, email and greet customers as needed.
- Shop organization and inventory maintenance as needed.
- Shipping and receiving as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES SHOULD INCLUDE:
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude.
- Innate problem-solving ability.
- In depth understanding of Macintosh operating systems and applications.
- Hands-on Macintosh computer repair experience.
- Minimum High school or GED-equivalent education required; mechanical, electrical, auto shop classes and/or some college experience a plus.
- Spoken and written English language ability.
- High standards for accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Flexible, self-motivated, resourceful, reliable, trustworthy and productive.
